As part of this system, and in accordance with clause 8.4 of the standard, all suppliers that provide products or services to WhiteStone Technology are subject to a formal and periodic evaluation.
Evaluation methodology
Supplier evaluations are carried out on an annual basis, and on a half-yearly basis for suppliers considered critical to the quality of the service provided by the organisation.
The main criteria applied in the evaluation are:
– Quality of the product or service supplied, assessed according to its conformity with the technical requirements and the agreed specifications.
– Compliance with delivery or service provision deadlines.
– Demonstrated technical capability within the scope of the supply.
– Responsiveness to enquiries, incidents and requests.
– Regulatory compliance, including, where applicable, the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
– Value for money of the supply.
– Environmental sustainability criteria, assessed where applicable to the nature of the product or service.
As a result of the evaluation, each supplier receives a rating that determines its continuity on the organisation’s list of approved suppliers:
| Rating | Description |
|---|---|
| A — Excellent | Meets or exceeds expectations. Preferred supplier. |
| B — Acceptable | Meets the requirements with minor issues. Remains approved. |
